We will see what’s implied vs what’s intended I guess. I’m taking the quote from Phil and also from what I posted above as Phil isn’t the one doing the work.just to be careful when in this case, during the same announcement, the two contradict. Especially from Polygon articles (known for over embellishing and conveying things not intended) I’ve seen that before and I’m careful not to embellish as the writers are taking statements/quotes and arranging them in a way to suggest things that PHIL may or may not have suggesting if we had the entire conversation. There’s essentially no driver configuring the keys to be read as controller inputs by the game. For example you can’t just go and now play Horizon 4 with K&M because it hasn’t been updated so that you can. From the context in that article and during the stream they are trying to make it clear that people shouldn’t expect that all games will work with keyboard and mouse out the box unless they developer has made it so. The link you posted there doesn’t say that controller has to be enabled for every game, just that keyboard won’t be by default for games that haven’t been programmed to accept it. It was expanded on in other posts, I’ll find them. If we put those tools in the hands of developers, we’ll get more of those games.” - quoted again here He says it in the video linked in my last comment “There are certain games out there that require mouse and keyboard, and those can’t come to console today.
